Animal Rights Group Alleges Elephant Torture During Kerala’s Vaikom Mahadeva Temple’s Fest

Thrissur-based animal rights group named Heritage Animal Task Force has alleged the torture of elephants which are paraded during the Vaikom Mahadeva Temple in the Kottayam district of Kerala, and claimed this “unlawful”. The group wrote a letter to the Director of Project Elephant, Environment and Forest Ministry; it explained that on November 16th and 17th, three elephants were paraded inside the temple campus.
